Pakistan is currently passing through a critical phase marked by both internal and external challenges. On one side, the nation faces a new wave of terrorism; on the other, unchecked propaganda on social media and elements fueling public unrest pose a direct threat to law and order and the writ of the state.
The events of May 2023 clearly demonstrated that when state institutions weaken and political parties prioritize personal interests over national ones, hostile forces exploit the vacuum. As we confront proxy warfare from across the region — especially from Afghanistan and India — it is essential to organize our internal ranks and eliminate treacherous elements working against national interests.
All individuals or groups involved in spreading hatred against state institutions, the armed forces of Pakistan, or the judiciary must be brought to justice in accordance with the law. Freedom of expression is the essence of democracy, but it must not cross into the territory of sedition or national betrayal.
The state must act within constitutional boundaries — such as invoking Article 245 where necessary — but only against those who are actively involved in rebellion or terrorism. The rule of law is the only path that can lead us from chaos to stability.
Our youth must also adopt a responsible approach on social media — replacing emotional responses and misinformation with critical thinking and informed opinions.
This is a time that calls for national unity — beyond politics, beyond sects, beyond ethnicity. Let us all stand together for the survival, security, and prosperity of Pakistan
