India’s chandrayaan-2 failed to make soft-landing at the south pole of the moon. India attempted to become the first country to land a robotic mission at the Moon’s south pole. But it failed after engineers lost contact with the Vikram lander. Vikram lander is part of the Chandrayaan-2 probe.
Although, ISRO claims normal performance of chandrayaan-2 up to an altitude of 2.1 km. The chandrayaan-2- was a $150 million project. Indian PM Modi encourages ISRO and claims that India is proud of this development. Despite the Chandrayaan-2 failure.
