Citizens aged above 65 to get a monthly stipend in Punjab. CM of Punjab Usman Buzdar, on 21 August, announced a special program for senior citizens. The program approves monthly allowance to people above the age of 65. Moreover, On the occasion of World Senior Citizen Day, the CM asserts that senior citizens are our assets. And he says that we should safeguard the rights of senior citizens. This program is for people above 65 years.

Punjab Government allocates Rs 3 billion for this program of stipend for senior citizens. Because most these people don’t have income sources. Previously,  a monthly stipend for girls and women who have survived acid attacks was also announced by the Punjab government. Moreover, Shahbaz Gill says that the government also legislated on the matter of eliminating the practice of acid attacks.
