No Covid 19 Patient on Ventilator in Balochistan as CM Balochistan informed on friday.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on Friday informed the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan that no ventilator was occupied by coronavirus patients in the largest province of the country.

Participating in the NCOC meeting via video link, the provincial chief executive said his government was ensuring the availability of oxygen throughout the hospitals of Balochistan. He briefed the participants on the situation arising due to the third Covid wave and the progress made by the Balochistan Awami Party-led government in controlling the spread of the virus in Balochistan. “The third wave of coronavirus is intense and dangerous,” he said. “Educational institutions are closed in light of the recommendations made by the NCOC.”

CM Kamal highlighted how the virus has wreaked havoc in neighboring India. “Awareness campaigns should be run on television effectively from today urging people to strictly follow SOPs.” The Balochistan chief minister also recommended the NCOC meeting to make inoculation against Covid-19 mandatory for air travel. “It is imperative to implement SOPs in mosques and maintain social distance,” Jam Kamal said. “Eid is around the corner and this is the day people throng to public places.”

The meeting was also attended by provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau, Chief Secretary Balochistan, IG Police Balochistan, principal secretary to the CM, additional chief Secretary, information secretary and other senior officials.
