Pakistani short film Darling won the Orizzonti Award for Best Short Film award at the Venice Film Festival. The Horizons Award for the best short film is a proud moment for the director, saim Sadiq. Darling is the story of a young boy and a trans girl. Moreover, the role of Alina in Darling is played by Alina Khan who is a real transgender actor from Lahore . Moreover, Darling is her debut film.

Furthermore, director Sadiq’s previous short film is Nice Talking to You. And it won Vimeo’s Best Director award at Columbia University Film Festival in 2018. Moreover, The whole cast and crew of this short film are very excited about winning awards.
